Big Thanks to Andrea White!

CDPI would like to recognize the work that Andrea has done in the last 6+ years with the organization. Here are a few of her current and previous assignments:

 Communicated with our membership.

 Facilitated our New Member Orientation sessions.

 Connected new professionals with seasoned professionals through a previous mentoring program.

 Participated in the conference planning committee.

 Helped the organization pursue the reinstatement of exempt tax status with the IRS.

 Managed the organization's budget.

 Mentored President-Elect on role expectations and responsibilities.

To distinguish the passion, leadership, creativity, knowledge, and commitment that drove her work with CDPI, the Board of Directors decided to create a new award in her honor. The Andrea White Award will seek to recognize individuals in the state of Indiana that make outstanding contributions to our field. Join us in celebrating her!




Awards & Recognition Program

Career Development Professionals of Indiana is pleased to offer the opportunity to recognize the accomplishments and dedication of our members through the CDPI Awards and Recognition Program. The awards recognize members of CDPI for outstanding and innovative research, programs, or initiatives that contribute to the profession; for distinguished mentorship; and for exemplary performance from a new career development professional.

The following information is provided to assist you in the preparation of award nominations. Read before submitting your nomination(s):


Career Services Innovation Award (for an individual or team)

  • Awarded to a career professional or career team who has addressed a challenge, problem, or issue facing the profession with an innovative change or improvement.


Complete nomination form with the following information:

  • Nominee’s name, title, organization.
  • A summary of the nominee’s contributions to projects, activities, and/or committee assignments that illustrate his or her outstanding accomplishments and service.
  • Examples of creativity, teamwork, and commitment to service.
  • A description of the ways in which this nominee’s job performance goes beyond his or her required duties.
  • Number of years of service.
  • OPTIONAL Up to two additional letters of support from individuals knowledgeable about the accomplishments, the quality of the specific work, or the achievement for which the nomination is made.

Mentor of the Year Award
(
Mentoring relationship may be formal or informal)

Complete nomination form with the following information:

  • Nominee’s name, title, and organization.
  • Name and title of mentee as well as length of time mentoring has occurred.
  • A summary of the nominee’s mentoring experience, preferably from the mentee engaged in the mentorship relationship.
  • Evidence that the mentoring relationship has been positive and ongoing for six months or more.
  • OPTIONAL Up to two additional letters of support from mentor and/or mentee supporting claims why nominee is worthy of this recognition.

Career Services Innovation Award (for an individual or team)

Complete nomination form with the following information:

  • Name, title, organization or individual person or team responsible who is responsible for the innovative change or improvement. Please be clear.
  • Description of challenge, problem or issue facing the profession.
  • A detailed description of the nominee’s innovative contribution to addressing the described challenge, problem, or issue.
  • Evidence supporting the benefits and/or impact the nominee’s contribution has had on the profession in response to the described challenge, problem, or issue.
  • OPTIONAL Up to two additional letters of support from the appropriate area director, students, colleagues, or others addressing the quality of the innovative contribution.
