Career Development Professionals of Indiana, Inc., is dedicated
to the advancement of the career services profession
within Indiana by promoting improved communications and
cooperative ventures among the member universities
and colleges for the purposes of implementing professional development,
employer development, and public relations activities.

Call for Proposal Suggested Topics:

Emerging Workforce Issues; How a Fortune 500 company engages the Millennial generation and trends/changes noticed;
Creative combinations for students' majors/minors or skill development to prepare for new industries;
How Career Counselors can prepare students (from an employer perspective);
Moving to a "GREEN" workforce(how employers are changing & how that impacts jobs and students);
What determines a good resume/application vs. a bad resume/application - from an HR perspective

Best Career Counseling Practices (new and innovative ideas);
Career Coaching vs. Career Counseling;
New ways to educate students about professionalism and other career-related issues;
How to best utilize websites/technology to deliver content/knowledge to students;
The Best of the Best: Career Services websites (good ideas, content explored, how they reach students);
Career Development Courses Best Practices (books used, syllabi, structure, activities)

Any of the above topics and related topics proposals are welcomed and encouraged. If you or someone you know would
like to present at the Fall CDPI Conference, please send all proposals to Karen Obringer at obringek@ipfw.edu.
Please feel free to forward this onto others (employers, counselors, grad students) that you believe could present on any of
the above and related topics. Once proposals are received, they will be reviewed by the committee and presenters notified.
