Join us for a Town Hall as we gather various organizations from across the state of Indiana to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on Indiana’s workforce development and how to support our future graduates. Both CDPI members and prospective members are invited to attend.
This session will include a 60-minute webinar-style town hall of several speakers, including The Strada Education Network, Indiana INTERNnet, ICHE, and other partners. The remaining half hour will be followed by an opportunity to go into a zoom breakout room to connect with other career development professionals from across the state.
Carol D’Amico, Ed.D., is the Executive Vice President, Learning & Policy for the Strada Education Network. Carol is a higher education reformer with decades of experience designing and implementing strategies to help students make the leap from higher education to the world of work. Carol will be speaking about the work and research the Strada Education Network has completed over the past several months as a response to COVID-19.
Mike Slocum joined Indiana INTERNnet as its executive director in November 2018 and leads efforts for this statewide not-for-profit organization managed by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Mike will be sharing information on how internship opportunities have evolved in light of COVID-19.
Brittany Collins serves as Postsecondary Outreach and Career Transitions Manager at the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.She leads CHE’s partnership with several federal grant programs focused on capacity-building for college access and success. Brittany will be speaking about state initiatives such as Rapid Recovery and sharing data to help career development practitioners inform their work.
